In 2016 our client acquired wireline, FIOS, and broadband services from another major telecommunications company to expand their customer base, and meet the growing needs of their current clients. This expansion caused a rapid influx of new employees to several different areas, most importantly sales. After restructuring the company to align with the new additional services being offered, the organization did not have the caliber of employees they needed to be successful. Also, culture fit issues were causing low sales performance, and these unmet sales performance goals were causing an uncertain future outlook.

We’re looking to add a Solution Consultant to our sales team! The position is primarily responsible for sourcing and closing SaaS contracts for talent assessment solutions. Responsibilities include:
Drive the sales process from lead generation to close of sale
Develop new account prospects through networking, referrals, e-mail communications, and cold-calling
Successfully close a sale in both short- and long-term sales cycles
Understand the business environment, anticipate trends, and develop strategies to capitalize on opportunities and ensure long term growth
Develop rapport with client management and maintain strong working relationships
Host, attend and/or participate in local, regional, and national industry-related events and association groups/conferences to build and maintain client base, and represent DeGarmo
Work with DeGarmo executive staff to scope and price each opportunity, develop a targeted opportunity strategy, and carry this strategy forward to the prospect
Continually track and analyze major opportunities; prepare sales forecasts and sales strategies; and influence management to obtain resources necessary to both bid and win these opportunities
Key determinants of success are:
Profitable and sustainable company growth within multiple business lines
Continual development of satisfied new customers, willing to act as company references, and who contract for repeat business
Achieving growth primarily through the attainment of new business
Meeting established goals for productivity and sales lead generation

IMS is a full line metal distributor serving the needs of metal users throughout Southern California and Arizona since 1948. IMS contacted DeGarmo because they were seeking a pre-hire assessment solution that could be configured to assess their specific roles, with benchmarks driven by the people who do the job today – actual IMS employees. DeGarmo is doing just that, by building custom benchmark profiles for roles such as Material Handler, Driver, Inside Sales, and more. IMS is also utilizing cognitive and skill-based assessments that are available via the DeGarmo platform. In addition, IMS is gaining automation and efficiency improvements by integrating the DeGarmo solution with their Applicant Tracking System.
DeGarmo is pleased to announce that we have begun working with New Market Bank. Based in Minnesota, New Market Bank is a family owned community bank that has been in operation since 1905. The bank reached out to DeGarmo because they wanted to add behavioral assessments to their hiring process to support the selection of key roles. As a result, New Market Bank is taking advantage of DeGarmo’s “off-the-shelf” assessment library of benchmarked profiles for determining compatibility with hundreds of roles. Specifically, the bank is implementing pre-hire assessments for a number of roles, including loan agents, managers, and sales/customer services roles. In addition, New Market Bank is gaining automation and efficiency improvements by integrating the DeGarmo solution with their Applicant Tracking System – Paychex.
