While just about every organization has a mission statement that includes some reference to a set of work values, how many organizations really believe in their values and use them to drive organizational success? This session will highlight evidence that corporate work value alignment has been shown to increase job satisfaction and organizational commitment among employees, as well as decrease employee turnover. We will discuss how to identify your organizational culture as one source for increasing the compatibility of your employees and organization and practical approaches for improving alignment through both talent acquisition and organizational development. We’ll talk about the importance of core work values, how to measure them, and how to improve alignment between the organization and its employees to drive organizational success! What will participants learn? 1) How to put an organization’s values to work. 2) How to identify your organizational culture as one source for increasing the compatibility of your employees and organization. 3) An approach for improving alignment in work values through both staffing and development models.
